Fatris MF, a freelance journalist, researcher and travel writer specialized environmental reporting. He has written seven books, exploring also impact of colonialism, cultural consequences, and ancient spiritual in Indonesia. Most of his personal work has a strong political and social component, published in several media such as Mare, Majalah Tempo, DestinAsian Indonesia, National Geographic Indonesia, Currier International France, Republika, Kumparan.com, Travelounge, Marie Clair Magazine, Beritagar Indonesia, Colour, Garuda Indonesia Inflight Magazine, Sriwijaya Inflight Magazine, Travel Fotografi, Chip Magazine, Padang Ekspres, Haluan.
He is the author of The Banda Journal which won Photobook of the Year 2021, Paris Photo-Aperture Foundation, and selected as TIME 20 Best Photobook of 2021.
